Distance and Elevation
Distance: 6.1 miles / 9.8 km
Elevation: 2886ft / 880m
recommended Footwear
Trail shoes due to some rockier sections but road shoes would manage fine unless there has been heavy rain.
Recommended running
A relatively easy run in munro terms that is great to plod up and enjoy the fantastic views. There is an obvious extension if one doesn’t mind a section of scrambling.
local coffee fix
Crieff or Comrie are bound to have some cafes but I haven’t stopped in any so can’t recommend. Callandar also has Ben Ledi cafe offering good coffee and great cakes.

Route details
A popular hill not too far from the central belt it is difficult to go wrong on this route. Park along the road on the south side of Loch Earn by Ardvorlich house. The route is sign-posted initially and from there just stay on the main path until you reach the summit. The path is well worn and easy to follow with only a few rocky sections that are still runnable. This would be a great introductory munro to run or hike.
If satisfied return by the outward route. If you don’t mind some more technical terrain and a section of scrambling, then tag on Stuc A’Chroin to the west and contour along Ben Vorlich to get back to the main path. The scramble is simple but great fun, though will dramatically ruin your Strava pace if you care about the Strava street cred.
