Route details
Starting in the centre of Braemar, a beautiful village nestled in the heart of the cairngorm national park, pick up the military road heading south to Glenshee and just stick to it. It is a quiet tarmac road running alongside the Clunie water, with great views of the surrounding hills.
It is 3.3 miles long, as shown above, with a bit of a climb in the middle. It would make a great road for a tempo run or some road reps as the surface is good and there will not be much traffic at all on it.
