Route details

There is a large car park at the Glenfinnan viaduct and monument visitors centre if you plan to visit these too, but there is a charge and last time I was there the bridge you would need to use to cross the river was out of action. The route starts from a car park that is south of the road between Glenfinnan and the railway bridge a mile east.

An out an back route on a dirt road. I have actually only done the first few miles of the track en-route to climbing some Corbetts in northern Ardgour but from research and what I could see that day the track continues as it was to begin with so should make for good running. The views are phenomenal and this is currently my favourite area of Scotland, so just plod along for some classic time on feet and savour the views of the rugged mountains.

The run will be surprisingly quiet regardless of the time of year as while the viaduct, monument, and Munros draw huge crows, there are no Munros in this area south of the road meaning people rarely frequent it, much to the benefit of those who love to explore more.
