Distance and Elevation
Distance: 9.4 miles / 15.1 km

recommended Footwear
Trail shoes are probably better for a few rocky sections but road shoes would also do fine.
Recommended running
A tough but rewarding time on feet run that bags a munro and provides some stunning views of the Southern Highlands.
local coffee fix
I’ve not been anywhere in the immediate vicinity. Around 30 minutes north is Artisan Cafe and Deli, a great spot off the A82 in an old church. There is also the Boat Shed on Loch Goil and while good it is my opinion that it’s a bit of an instagram trap.

Route details
Park in a large car park at Succoth where there is a charge and follow the signposted trail up into the woods and up the hill. You zigzag up through the forest before getting out onto a brilliant, almost alpine, footpath that follows a burn past the Narnain Boulders up to the bealach between Beinn Arthur, Beinn Ime, and Beinn Narnain. The views of the Cobbler are phenomenal and it is clear why it is such a popular hill.
Once at the bealach it is an obvious out and back to the summit of Beinn Ime. If you so desire you could add on the Cobbler or Beinn Narnain. At the time of writing I have not summited the Cobbler so can’t speak for the quality of path, and I would say Narnain gets too rocky and bouldery to be classed as good running, but you may differ in opinion so feel free to explore.
Retrace your steps back to the car and enjoy more fantastic views over the Luss hills before dropping back into the forest.
