Distance and Elevation
Distance: 7.9 miles / 12.7 km
Elevation: 2344ft / 715m
recommended Footwear
Trail shoes due to a few boggier sections but road shoes would manage fine unless there has been heavy rain.
Recommended running
A relatively easy run in munro terms that is great to plod up and enjoy the views, but would also make a great place to push hard on the hills if you wanted.
local coffee fix
Crieff or Comrie are bound to have some cafes but I haven’t stopped in any so can’t recommend.

Route details
Navigation wise this popular hill is mostly straightforward and it is an out and back route which adds to the ease. There is not much parking but there are a few spaces in a lay-by at Coshievachan farm. There are signs directing you to the hill track and once on the main track just run uphill until around 2.8 miles. At this point keep an eye out for a small cairn that indicates the grassier, sometimes boggy, track up towards the plateau. Although if you miss this, according to the maps, the track would take you to the line of fence posts you pick up anyway so it’s not the end of the world.
Follow the fence posts along the plateau ridge until you reach the summit, take in the views (that I can’t comment on thanks to some thick cloud) and return via the route you have just done.
