Route details
Park in the main Ben Ledi car park, which is pretty small, and follow the sign posts for Ben Ledi. The climb starts steeply straight out of the car park so you may want to warm up out and back on the railway path, or even make a longer 11 mile route by running from Callander along the railway path or the forestry.
Follow the main path to the summit. On the way up there are great views of Loch Lubnaig and the munros north of Callander, and from the summit the views towards the Arrochar Alps are excellent.
This route just returns via the outward route but there is also a loop down into Stank glen to the north that is popular, though I have not done that full route (only having done the ridge to Ben Vane to the north and down a different way) so can’t comment on how good it is to run.
