Route details

There is plenty of parking along the sea front at Doonfoot so park wherever you get a space. The route is an out and back so a full length out and back would be 6 and half miles. Great for fast road reps or tempo runs and a better option than the promenade if windy.

There is a road to cross about a mile in so if doing intervals I would recommend using the first mile as a warm up and doing reps on the other side of the road.

If you wanted a long tempo route then combine the promenade and bike path for a nearly 6 mile long path that is mostly flat and traffic free.
